Static Sites - A static web site is one with no interactivity, and usually no "bells and whistles" such as Flash animations or image galleries. This kind of site is the bread-and-butter of small design studios, and the work, though old-fashioned by today's standards, is very satisfying.

We created her logo and "placeholder" page because she's Lynda's sister and she deserves her own web site. |

Mondo Cult Magazine - Our friends at Mondo Cult Magazine apporached us redesign their site. We did it from the ground up, with a new logo, new graphics, and an all-new layout. Although this is a static site by definition, it also incorporates a PHP photo gallery, a Simple Machines Forum and a WordPress blog. Great News! Mondo Cult Magazine's web site has been nominated Best Web Site in the annual Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards, created by David Colton and Kerry Gammill at the Classic Horror Film Boards in 2002. The awards are fan-based, and have no connection to any commercial sponsor. Anyone in fandom can vote or propose nominees.

America's #1 Johnny Depp Impersonator - Another makeover for an existing client, created for celebrity impersonator Ronnie Rodriguez. Ron wanted a site where he could manage images, videos, and content himself, so we kept it simple. We will be adding a section for booking agents shortly that includes a downloadable press kit and high-res images for print. |
Media-rich and Content Management Sites (CMS) - These are sites with photo galleries, Flash elements, video, and other multi-media content, or that have administration areas where the site's owner can log in and maintain the site himself - updating content, adding images and videos, for example. These also include blogs such as WordPress, forums, and sites created using Open Source applications such as Joomla!

SeeSantaCruz.com - Currently, the site is a simple WordPress blog. Over the next six months, this will be built out to a robust shopping and tourism portal, complete with a full directory of local businesses, local news and information, featured businesses and events, and a social network for business-to-business and business-to-consumer interaction. |

Total Fabrication, Inc. - Baywood Design Studio has been maintaining the Total Fabrication web site since 1999. This past summer, we did a complete re-design to bring its look and feel into the 21st century. The site includes a Flash header on the main page, along with a Flash slideshow of the latest company news. In addition, it has photo and video galleries that show off their best work. |

Coffin Cheaters MC - We were very pleased to be asked to design the web site for the Santa Cruz chapter of Coffin Cheaters MC. Because they need direct control of the site and are on a tight budget, we created a Joomla! template so they can manage their images and videos, along with the rest of their content themselves. Graphics were created using their existing colors, patches, and other branding images. The header photo was taken by Lynda from her front porch, manipulated in PhotoShop, and licensed to the club. |

Famous Monsters of Filmland Forum - Famous Monsters of Filmland is a magazine founded in the late '50s that was pretty much the inspiration for every horror, sci-fi, or specialty film fan magazine created since then. When the new owners asked us to create a forum for them that matche their existing web site, we were thrilled to be a part of fan magazine history. This is a customized Simple Machines Forum, an open-source forum application that's our favorite for ease of maintenance and customization. |

Nu Star Contracting - This is a full-service residential and commercial contractor specializing in laminate flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, and tub and countertop reglazing. This site includes a custom CMS and Flash gallery created by one of our partners. We recently completed a re-design of this site. |
Spec Sites - These are web sites that were never used but that show off our skills. Some are real companies who either went in another direction or decided they didn't want a web presence after all, others are simply created in styles we've not had the opportunity to work with yet in the course of our business. They're designed to show you what we can do, but there are no clients to contact for references.

Talent Management Company - Awhile back we were asked to create a design on spec for RP Talent Management that would match the look and feel of their existing site, set up using a Yahoo template. The client decided in the end to stick with his existing site because it was easy to maintain, so we're posting our proposed design here. |
