LJ Williams Design encourages everyone to Have a Heart, and do what you can to support a charity that has meaning for you. Whether it's your church, a local non-profit, or a nationwide or global movement, do something.

LJ Williams Design is proud to support two charities that have a special place in our hearts. A portion of the profit from each web job we do goes to one of these two charities. In addition, we volunteer whenever possible at fundraising events. If you are not supporting a group currently, we'd be very pleased if you would Have a Heart and take one of these two groups under you wing and share the love.

CREATE NOW is an independent, 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 1996. Their mission is to change the lives of high-risk and at-risk youth through creative arts mentoring, education, resources and opportunities. Over the past 12 years, they’ve reached over 15,000 of these troubled children and youth.

Located in Los Angeles, California, CREATE NOW reaches out to youth in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura counties, with plans to continue to expand their reach up and down the state and across the country. Lynda Williams, owner of LJ Williams Design, has been maintaining the web site and managing the newsletter for CREATE NOW on a volunteer basis since early 2006.

CREATE NOW depends not only on donations of money, goods, and services, but also on volunteer mentors in all areas of the creative arts - music, filmmaking, theater, writing, fine arts, arts and crafts, and more. It's very powerful and uplifting when you realize that you've impacted someone's life, especially the troubled children that CREATE NOW serves. These young people represent our future. They need our support in order to change their lives.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is known globally as the world's foremost children's treatment and research hospital. Most of us are aware that when actor/comedian Danny Thomas was getting his start as an entertainer in Detroit, MI, things weren't going very well for him. Praying to St. Jude Thaddeus, the patron saint of hopeless causes, he asked the saint to “help me find my way in life, and I will build you a shrine.”

And what a shrine he built. In the 46 years since St. Jude's first opened its doors, no child has ever been turned away because inability to pay. Discoveries made at St. Jude's have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. And all because people like us, as well as some of the most powerful individuals and corporations in the world, have rallied behind that dream with their time and their money.
