JerkAlerts.com was created for Internet users like YOU, who come here to work and play. We come here to relax and enjoy the "company" of others. Many of us have met people who became life-long friends. Some of us even fell in love with and married a soulmate whom we met in a chat room or on a dating site. The Internet is made up of people. Mostly good people. Scammers, con artitsts, and theieves count on that fact - because it's only good, honest people who can be scammed.

I believe that the Internet is no more – or less – safe than the "real world." Many of the Internet scams and cons being perptrated today are just variants of scams and cons that existed long before the Internet was a gleam in Al Gore's eye. The Internet simply provides another opportunity, another venue, for the not-so-nice among us to prey on the innocent.
